Mechanical Technician

A Mechanical Technician  Key responsibilities include performing routine maintenance, diagnosing and fixing faults, and supporting engineers in testing and design adjustments. A strong understanding of mechanical systems, safety protocols, and the ability to read technical drawings are essential skills for this role.  
Key responsibilities
•    Installation and Maintenance: 
Install, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment, ensuring they meet specifications. This can include cleaning, greasing, and repairing components. 
•    Engineering Support: 
Work with engineers to bring designs to life, evaluate designs for faults, and make recommendations for improvements to efficiency or reliability. 
•    Safety and Documentation: 
Adhere to all safety procedures, such as Lockout/Tagout, and document all maintenance, repairs, and parts used. 
•    Technical Skills: 
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications. 
•    Tool and Equipment Usage: 
Use a wide range of tools, from basic hand tools to specialized equipment, depending on the job

Blueprint reading: The ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and specifications.

Tool proficiency: Using and maintaining a wide range of hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Code knowledge: Other relevant local and safety codes.
