Job Description

Job Purpose

 

The HSE Supervisor is responsible for supervising and implementing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements at site level, ensuring regulatory compliance, effective contractor control, workforce awareness, and active participation in the company Safety Committee to promote a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities

 

 

 

HSE Supervision & Compliance:

  • Supervise daily HSE activities across site, workshop, and facility
  • Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
  • Conduct site inspections, safety tours, and risk assessments
  • Enforce PPE usage and safe work practices
  • Enforce the reporting from individuals for hazards , near mess , poor housekeeping
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; implement corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and inspection logs

HSE Training, Awareness & Safety Culture:

  • Conduct HSE inductions for employees, contractors, and visitors
  • Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings based on operational risks and incidents
  • Support implementation of the annual HSE training plan in coordination with HR and HSE Manager
  • Promote safety awareness campaigns and behavioral safety practices
  • Support safety culture initiatives and workforce engagement programs

Contractor Safety & Permit to Work (PTW):

  • Enforce Permit to Work (PTW) system for contractor and high-risk activities
  • Review and monitor work permits, JSA, and method statements prior to job execution
  • Verify contractor HSE documentation, competency, and certifications
  • Conduct contractor inductions and pre-job safety briefings
  • Monitor contractor work to ensure compliance with permit conditions
  • Stop unsafe work and ensure proper permit closure and site restoration

Safety Committee & Reporting:

  • Act as an active member of the Safety Committee
  • Participate in Safety Committee meetings, inspections, and site walkthroughs
  • Report incidents, trends, and safety observations to the Safety Committee
  • Support implementation and follow-up of Safety Committee decisions and action plans
  • Monitor closure of assigned safety actions and report status to management

 

Skills

Education Requirements

  • Min Diploma or Max Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field
  • NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE certification (mandatory)

Experience Requirements

  • 3–5 years of HSE supervision experience in industrial, manufacturing, or construction environments

Skills Requirements

  • Strong site supervision and enforcement skills
  • Practical knowledge of PTW systems and contractor safety control
  • Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills
  • Proactive, firm, and safety-driven mindset

Training Requirements

  • Health, Safety and environmental awareness training .
  • QMS Awareness Training

Education

Safety , Engineering or related field , • NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE certification (mandatory)
