A. Operational Supervision
- Plan and allocate daily machining tasks for CNC and conventional machines.
- Monitor production schedules, machine loading, and job progress to meet delivery dates.
- Ensure machining programs, tools, and raw materials are ready before job start.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and provide technical support to machinists.
- Review machining drawing, tolerances, and API requirements before releasing jobs.
B. Quality & Compliance (API / ASME / Aramco)
- Ensure all machined parts comply with API 6A, API 6D, and internal QMS requirements.
- Verify first-piece inspection and ensure inspection reports are completed.
- Ensure machinists follow job travelers, WPS, process sheets, and control plans.
- Coordinate with QC for dimensional inspection, NDT, and heat treatment requirements.
- Lead corrective actions for machining non-conformities.
C. Manpower Management
- Supervise machinists, programmers, helpers, and support technicians.
- Conduct skill assessments and identify training needs (tooling, CNC programming, API tolerances, etc.).
- Enforce company policies, attendance management, and shop discipline.
- Evaluate employee performance based on productivity and quality KPIs.
D. Machine & Tooling Management
- Ensure machines (CNC Turning, VTL, Milling, Drill, Lathe, etc.) are properly maintained.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance with maintenance team.
- Manage tooling inventory, inserts, fixtures, chucks, mandrels, and gauges.
- Suggest improvements to reduce cycle time and tooling cost.
E. Safety & Housekeeping
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols (PPE, machine guards, housekeeping).
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and report safety observations.
- Ensure proper handling of sharp tools, heavy components, and lifting operations.
F. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare daily production reports (output, downtime, scrap, OEE).
- Review cycle times and implement productivity enhancement initiatives.
- Participate in lean manufacturing activities (5S, Kaizen, root cause analysis).
- Coordinate with planning for job sequencing and material availability
المهارات
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years machining experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong expertise in API machining, CNC programming (Fanuc / Siemens), and precision tolerances.
- Experience in valve components machining (gate, globe, check, ball valves) is an advantage.
- Understanding of QMS: API Q1, ISO 9001, ISO 45001.
- Ability to read complex machining drawings, GD&T, and engineering specifications.
