الوصف الوظيفي

 

A QC (Quality Control) Inspector for Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) ensures that E&I installations meet project specifications and quality standards by inspecting materials and activities, performing and witnessing tests, and documenting results. This role involves checking electrical wiring, instrumentation, control systems, and documentation, and ensuring all work conforms to codes, standards, and project plans. Key activities include conducting site inspections, performing tests like loop checks and calibration, managing documentation, and resolving non-conformances.  
 
Core responsibilities
  • Inspections: 
    Perform visual and dimensional inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities, including conduit, cable pulling, termination, grounding, and lighting systems. 
     
  • Testing: 
    Conduct and witness various tests, such as insulation resistance, continuity, loop checks, function tests, and calibration of instruments. 
     
  • Documentation: 
    Issue quality records, write non-conformance reports, maintain checklists, and prepare documentation for project handover. 
     
  • Verification: 
    Check that equipment, materials, and processes meet project specifications and applicable codes and standards. 
     
  • Coordination: 
    Interface with construction teams, engineers, and client representatives to resolve quality-related issues and ensure project timelines are met. 
     
  • Compliance: 
    Ensure all activities comply with project quality plans, safety regulations, and client-specific standards. 
     
  • Punchlisting: 
    Coordinate punchlist walkdowns and manage the list of corrective actions to be completed.
