Job Description

Job Summary:

The Tire Inspector is responsible for conducting comprehensive tire-related services, including inspection, rotation, and maintaining proper inflation levels. This role demands expertise in tire types, sizes, tread patterns, and proficiency in operating tire road force machine equipment.

Responsibilities:

· Inspect tires, and determine if they are covered by warranty.

· Examine tires for damage, wear, tear, and other issues that may affect performance or safety.

· Check for punctures, bulges, tread depth, and overall tire condition.

· Perform routine maintenance tasks such as tire rotations and balancing.

· Utilize tire road force machine to evaluate tires for vibration, noise, and original equipment (OE) specifications.

· Clearly explain to customers the nature and cause of tire issues.

  • For tires covered by warranty, capture all relevant information in photographs, create a PowerPoint report, and submit it to the technical manager for approval.

· Conduct weekly inspections of tire warranties with a Goodyear International representative, including detailed documentation and photographs. Submit all information to the My Way application for approval.

· Prepare tire inspection reports for customer complaints to the trading ministry.

  • For warranted tires, gather all necessary details, prepare a warranty report and compensation calculation.
  • After receiving warranty approval from the technical manager and the My Way system, forward the information to the coordinator for warranty processing.

· Generate and submit monthly Excel and PowerPoint reports to the technical manager during the first week of each month.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a tire inspector or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of tire types, sizes, and tread patterns.
  • Ability to operate tire road force machine and other tire service equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills to explain technical information clearly to customers.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and relevant applications (e.g., My Way system).
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
