Job Description
KEY ACCOUNT-ABILITIES:
Description
Policies, Processes & Procedures
 Follow and monitor adherence to departmental policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of IT Services so that relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled
Employee Support
 Provide daily support to resolve employee requests about issues with hardware or software to ensure minimum downtimes
 Receive newly purchased equipment and hand them to the Helpdesk Back-Desk to execute the setup and configuration of appropriate applications
 Receive ready equipment from the Helpdesk Back-Desk and deliver them to employees
 Dispatch faulty equipment to the appropriate provider to ensure their repair under the best terms and with minimum time
Business Units Support
 Provide technical assistance (where required) to business units IT teams on how to resolve relevant issues
Helpdesk System
 Receive employee requests and resolve them within acceptable time frame
 Update the solutions library of the Helpdesk System on regular basis
 Escalate high level requests to the System or network team
 Update assets Inventory (software & hardware).
Change Management
 Support the management of change through continuous recommendations for the improvement of IT Services based on identified areas of improvement
Reporting
 Prepare monthly reports on IT support activities highlighting the number of issues resolved as well as the time and means utilised in the resolution
Related Assignments
 Participate in on-going IT projects as needed
 Perform other related duties or assignments as directed
