‒ Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure continuous operation.
‒ Identify mechanical problems of vehicles manually.
‒ Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
‒ Keep equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventive maintenance
such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters.
‒ Monitor relevant inventory to ensure the availability of parts all times.
‒ Perform regular vehicle maintenance tasks; oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.
‒ Maintain vehicle in functional condition by listening to operator complaints and performing
troubleshooting and repairs.
‒ Dismantle, test and clean parts and associated systems to make sure that they are working accurately.
‒ Troubleshoot and Repair all types of vehicular malfunctions.
‒ Replace any defective or dysfunctional parts and components.
‒ Repair any damage encountered by vehicle on its body.
‒ Maintain vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting.
‒ Respond to emergency repairs when needed.
‒ Maintain vehicle inspection and maintenance records.
‒ Prepare cost estimation for engine overhauling.
‒ Prepare parts requisition and issuance.
‒ Report the inspection and maintenance results.
Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE):
‒ Follow QHSE procedures while setting up, repairing, operating and material handling
‒ Preform safety checks on equipment before work
‒ Using adequate personal protective equipment (PPEs) according to the job at hand like helmet, gloves,
goggles, safety shoes etc.
